Flowers for Bodhisattva
According to Avatamsaka Sutra
Buddha is born with five-colored stems, one flower, one world, one leaf, one Tathagata.
Buddhism and flowers have a deep karma. They call flowers “Hua”, and the flowers are unique. The flowers in front of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, are called offering flowers. Scattering around the mandala is called Sanhua. There are many allusions and expressions related to flowers in Buddhist scriptures, such as Buddha's flower, Kasyapa's smile, the heavenly maids scattering blossoms, flowers to Buddha, etc.
