Leshan Grand Buddha , Sichuan

Leshan Grand Buddha in Sichuan, known as the Buddha is a mountain, the mountain is a Buddha. It is located at confluence of the Mountain Ling-Yun in the suburbs of Chengdu, Min-Jiang Dadu River and Qing-Yi River. In 713 AD, monk Hai-Tong initiated the excavation and it took 90 years to completed. It is the largest stone Buddha statue in the world. It was listed as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1996. 2009 Visited Chengdu. By Ming-Xian Jiang
